NEWS, January 2012:
Looks like 2012/13 will be as exciting as 2011! Lots of upcoming exhibitions in some amazing galleries.....I am very excited!
Right now I am working round the clock for my upcoming exhibition 'New Works by Tracy Sweeney', opening in Dublin's Graphic Studio Gallery, (Ireland) on April 5th. The works are large & textured & are inspired by the walls of train stations around the city of Stockholm. Clinical greens, old signage, teenagers marks on rusted metal.....The exhibition consists of 3 large installations, combinations of many prints, that work to 'create' a wall. It has been a great experimental show to develop & work towards, with exciting results.
In late 2012, I hope to exhibit new paintings in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Watch this space as dates & venues are being confirmed!
November 2013 sees two solo exhibitions of mine opening in Stockholm, in Grafiska Sällskapet & Galleri Ingela S. One is an exhibition of paintings, the other of prints. I can't wait to exhibit the work in Sweden again, it is much appreciated by the art-savvy Swedes, a great audience for experimental new works.
In 2013, I will also exhibit in The Ballina Arts Centre, (Mayo, Ireland).
